Entry Description
The Education Refugee Team provide an innovative service delivery model to improve wellbeing and learning outcomes for Syrian refugees resettled into Clackmannanshire. Supports introduced include wellbeing support, English language support, employability support, mother and baby groups, and targeted youth work/holiday programmes. Applying quality improvement methodology has resulted in a well-co-ordinated ‘getting it right for every child’ approach and a clear pathway of support. It has been creative and ambitious at every opportunity, in driving forward change in outcomes for all.

The entry could alternatively focus more on the broader local area, highlighting initiatives to foster diversity and help facilitate inclusion across the local community. It could include how the council has worked with other business and other local organisations to improve opportunity or participation. It could look at engagement.
