The Local Authority is the new podcast from LGC and FutureGov. Each month we will bring together leading figures from within and around local government to discuss one aspect of the sector’s future.

FutureGov is a change agency on a mission to build 21st-century public sector institutions as catalysts for change in the digital era. We support organisations with digital transformation, service design and community development, building on the best of places to organise for change, and radically improve outcomes for communities.

For over a decade, we've supported organisations on their journey of transformation, improving the design of service delivery and community involvement, helping over 100 local, national and health authorities on four continents to think differently about public services. We’ve worked with 80+ authorities from Essex to Aberdeen, half of all London boroughs, three state governments and 20 councils in Australia, and led innovation projects for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) around the world. We’re proud Bradford City MDC and Homes England transformation partners, building capacity for 21st-century needs.
