As we head towards compulsory TCFD reporting for the LGPS, we will look at the unintended consequences of focusing on the required metrics and emissions reduction targets. As expert users of climate data we provide examples of unintended portfolio allocation consequences that can occur if climate data is used 'passively' and without specialist oversight. We will consider the bigger picture of 'Paris alignment' and how to gain exposure to solutions while managing climate related financial risks.
