Investment Zone C: The global search for yield – opportunities in liquid fixed income

LGPS are increasingly looking to private or secured debt for income. This doesn’t have to be the only answer, the various flavours of Emerging Market Debt (EMD) can offer attractive yields, strong risk-adjusted returns and diversification benefits; all of this from investment grade issuers. The more liquid profile of EMD also means it can co-exist well with private debt. In our session we will draw on case studies to examine the prospects for EMD and outline what LGPS should consider when investing in this asset class.
